Edit edit edit and listening to I like Crispies over and over and over.
Not even half way through. I think I’m going to have to stop sleep or maybe do 5 hours–that might work. Did final interview with Sen Thursday. I am struggling with the lack of Broll. Going to have a pretty boring film if I don’t figure something out quick. Or am I just being hard on myself again?
Peace to Carrie L for sittin’ in for 2 weeks of blood curdling work.

Final Film Open S
Here is the Open S sequence with redone VO. It still bothers me a little in the Voice over–it seems a little off somehow. Give me some feed back–I would appreciate it–or not…

Title Open
Finally have something new to post: The Open Title Sequence. It took about a month to get together with the help of K.P. doing the GFX. The inspiration was from the opening title sequence for the movie ALIEN; although, it looks nothing like ALIEN. Only thing missing is the credit which is going to appear like smoke–finishing that later this week.

Interview that was
Mike G. was in da house last Sat April 19. Interview accomplished. My spacebar doesn’t work. Problems….
Nothing to report this week, but TV Sweeps is kicking my ass. No time for SNSTNL. Ordered a new tripod–that’s it.

interview that wasn’t
Supposed to have hooked up with Mike G of the Jungle Bros. today but its rescheduled for 2 weeks from now. Delays, delays and more delays. That is the name of the game. Now I’m off to hopefully finish the open title I’ve been working on for 3 months. Perhaps tomorrow I will meet up with my star SNSTNL and suss some info out of him–another reschedule situation for a month. Oh did I mention that I NEVER WANT TO MAKE A DOCUMENTARY ALL BY MYSELF AGAIN! Yeah that’s right. God do I have a killer back cramp right now.

Trans 1
Was supposed to meet with SN on in front of Fat Beats Saturday, but he was too “out of it”. I worked on this trans instead and finally got it scored.

green to red from E. A. MOORE on Vimeo.
Not sure which I like better. This takes so damn long to compress and upload–who has time for this shit? Think I like green to red better, but the red is too saturated. 2 months later…and outstanding gfx issues abound. And I haven’t even started the title sequence–which should be much simpler than this. Is Guyana resonating in this at all?

Cypress Hills: My Winter Getaway Spot
Well it was time for a site seeing trip as the weather became less inclement. A two hour commute for 6 minutes of footage! East New York was bleak, but I met some very friendly locals who were wondering what the hell I was doing with a video camera. Police cars were patroling frequently, but it was quite as a graveyard on a Monday. It did not live up to its reputation as the terrordom of drug slinging shoot outs–more like a place for families and kids mixed with lots of trash on the sidewalks. East New York–Cypress Hill Houses, former temp home of my star: Sensational aka Torture Aka Colin.
Now I am watching a documentary on Tom Dowd –the genius music producer & engineer. I am intimidated by this film. They have the camera on a dolly for interviews! What a massive crew they must have! Tom is stuck in the 70’s fashion wise. Brilliant physicist with an incredible ear for sound, but horrible taste in clothing.
